What are dentures?
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. A full denture replaces all the teeth on the top or bottom, and a partial denture fills in gaps when some healthy teeth remain. Both are custom-made to fit your mouth, restore your bite, and look like natural teeth.

Full dentures
When all of the upper or lower teeth are missing, a full denture replaces the whole arch. It rests on your gums and is shaped and shaded to look natural.

Partial dentures
If you still have some healthy teeth, a partial fills the gaps around them. It clasps onto your natural teeth and keeps them from shifting into the empty space.
What to expect
1. A consultation.
We look at your mouth, talk through your options, and help you choose the type of denture that fits your needs and budget.
2. Impressions and fitting.
We take measurements and impressions so your denture is built to your mouth, not a generic shape.
3. Getting comfortable.
New dentures take a little getting used to. Eating and speaking feel different at first, and that is normal. We tell you what to expect and how to ease into it.
4. Adjustments.
We fine-tune the fit so your denture is comfortable and secure. If a spot rubs, we adjust it. That is part of the process, not an extra hurdle.
Caring for your dentures
Dentures last longer and stay comfortable with a little daily care. Rinse and brush them each day, take them out at night to let your gums rest, and keep them in water so they do not dry out. Bring them to your regular visits so we can check the fit, because your gums and jaw change over time and a denture that fit last year may need a small adjustment this year.
What it costs
The cost depends on the type of denture and whether any other work is needed first, so we give you a clear number before we start. If you have dental insurance, we file your claim for you.

Common questions about dentures
Will my dentures look fake?
No. Modern dentures are shaped and shaded to match natural teeth and your face. Most people cannot tell the difference.
How long does it take to get used to dentures?
Usually a few weeks. Eating and speaking feel different at first, and that fades as your mouth adjusts. We coach you through it and adjust the fit as needed.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
You can eat most foods, though it takes practice at first. Start with softer foods and smaller bites, and you will build up to more over time.
What if my denture feels loose over time?
Your gums and jaw change shape gradually, so an older denture can loosen. We can adjust or reline it, and for a more secure fit, implant-supported options are available.
