In Dental Pain? Call Us Now

If you are hurting or something just happened, don't tough it out at home. Call us and we will do our best to see you the same day or the next.
We see patients Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We do our best to get you in fast

Dental problems have bad timing. A tooth breaks at dinner, an old crown pops off, or a dull ache turns into a night you cannot sleep. When that happens, call us. With two doctors on our team now, we can usually make room for urgent visits the same day or the next. It is not guaranteed, but we will always try, and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Call a dentist promptly for:
Broken or cracked tooth
Severe or lasting tooth pain
Swelling in the gums or face
Lost filling or crown
Dental injury from an accident
Knocked-out or loose tooth
Fast care often makes the difference between saving a tooth and losing it.

What to do right now

During our hours
Call us first at (757) 529-2733
Describe what happened and we will guide you on what to do and how quickly to come in.
A knocked-out tooth
Time matters. Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root, gently rinse it, and if you can, place it back in the socket or tuck it in your cheek or a cup of milk. Then call us right away.
A serious medical emergency
If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, significant facial swelling, or a jaw injury from a major accident, go to the emergency room or call 911. A hospital is the right place for those. Call us afterward and we will help with the dental follow-up.

You will be in gentle hands

An emergency is stressful enough without a dentist who makes it worse. Our team stays calm, explains what is happening, and works to get you out of pain. If you are anxious, tell us, and we will take extra care, with comfort items like headphones and a blanket if they help.
"They took me in with a dental emergency on very short notice. They were welcoming, very professional and kind. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. I'd recommend them to anyone."
- Mallory, Google review

More than a one-time fix

We will handle what brought you in today. We would also love to be the practice you come back to, so the next surprise is a lot less stressful because you already have a dental home. Many of our patients first found us during an emergency and stayed because of how they were treated. After we get you comfortable, we will talk about keeping your smile healthy for the long run, only when you are ready.

Emergency Dental Questions and Answers

Can you see me today?

We do our best to fit in urgent cases the same or next day, though we cannot guarantee it. Call us and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

I've never been a patient here. Can I still come in for an emergency?

Yes. New patients are welcome, and an emergency is a common way people first meet us.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe tooth pain, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling. If you are unsure, call and describe it, and we will help you decide.

What should I do if I can't reach you after hours?

For a life-threatening issue or serious swelling, go to the emergency room. Otherwise, keep the area clean, manage pain with over-the-counter relief, and call us as soon as we open.
