Every six months, our team cleans away the buildup you can’t reach at home and checks for anything worth watching. You leave knowing exactly where your teeth stand.
What happens at a dental cleaning?
A hygienist removes plaque and hardened tartar from your teeth and along the gumline, polishes away surface stains, and may apply fluoride. Then the dentist examines your teeth, gums, and soft tissue for early signs of decay, gum disease, or other concerns. Most cleanings take about an hour.

If you can't remember your last cleaning, you're in good company. A lot of the people we see haven't been to a dentist in years, and no one here treats that as a problem to explain away. We start with a look and a conversation. You decide what happens next.
That first visit is mostly listening. We clean what's there, show you what we see, and talk through anything that needs attention. Nothing gets scheduled until you're ready for it.
What to expect at your first visit

A look and a few questions.
We ask what's been going on and take digital X-rays if you're due for them.

Your cleaning.
Your hygienist clears away plaque and tartar, then polishes. Tell them if anything feels tender and they'll adjust.

Your exam.
Your doctor checks your teeth, gums, and soft tissue, including a screening for oral cancer.

A plan you understand.
We go over what we found and what we'd suggest, in plain terms. If everything looks good, we'll see you in six months.

Common questions
How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
Most people do well with a cleaning and exam every six months. If you've had gum disease, we may suggest coming in more often, and we'll tell you why.
Does a cleaning hurt?
For most people it doesn't. If your gums are sore or sensitive, tell your hygienist and they'll work more gently. If it's been a long time between visits, the first cleaning can feel more involved, and we take our time with it.
What if it's been years since my last visit?
That's fine. We start where you are, clean what we can, and build a plan from there. There's no lecture waiting for you.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most traditional plans and file the claim for you. If you don't have insurance, our in-house membership plan covers routine visits for a flat monthly cost.
